Description
1) Huge 48 star woven United States Flag (in use 1912-1959). Measuring approximately 139” x 82” (11’7” x 6’10”), this would be an impressive sight to see waving high above, or in this phase of its existence, on a wall and properly supported. It has had several period repairs made to it, looking to extend its useful life. There are noticeable holes, tears and discolorations in the fabric showing its use. Could have been flown as early as 1912 and as late as 1959.
2) US Army Air Force Ike Jacket. Size 40 S tag at neck. Written in ink below loop “J-G 415” No other marks on the jacket. Master Sergeant shoulder sleeve ranks on both sleeves (with blue background for Army Air Force). A very clean, barely worn jacket. Dimension: 22” wide x 24” long.
3) USMC Overcoat, double breasted, plastic buttons. Fits 185lb individual comfortably. PFC rank insignia on left sleeve below 2nd Marine Division patch. Inside sleeve linings marked with name, inside right sleeve armpit : stamped “J.H. SHNEIDER” and written “J.H.S.” in black ink. Inside left sleeve armpit: stamped “J.H. SHNEIDER” several times. In blue ink is stamped “QUARTERMASTER DEP.T. US MARINE CORPS 1942-1943”(or 8) and “4S” below.
