Description
Colt 1860 Army Revolver. Caliber .44 Black Powder. Revolver is numbers matching 1863 production revolver with original inspector marks still visible on wooden grips. Revolver has roughly 75% of original bluing present and has very little wear for its age. Finish has nicks and dings as you would expect from being carried in wartime as well as a previous owners initials lightly carved into right grip. Revolver also comes with correct vintage brown leather holster that was possibly issued with it. Holsters is marked Gaylord, Chicopee Mass. Latch is worn out and tab is present but halfway out and only 1/10 of top of belt loop remains intact. Seams are tight and rivets are all present. Gaylord maker’s mark clearly visible on belt loop side. It fits this beautiful Colt like a glove. Very nice representative of Civil War issued Colt Revolver. Must See!
