Description

Single shot, Ethan Allen style, percussion “pocket” pistol. A true piece of American frontier history, this style of pistol is characteristic of many inexpensive or “bootleg” firearms produced during the mid-19th century. Often referred to as a pocket pistol, belt pistol, or even a ‘boot pistol’. It features a simple cast iron or steel frame and barrel with a back-action lock and a curved, walnut wood grip. The 3-inch barrel is smoothbore and utilizes a percussion cap ignition system. The serial number “46” is inscribed on the bottom of the barrel, near the trigger. The bore has heavy oxidation. The hammer action is smooth, and the trigger action needs repair/adjusting. The overall length of the revolver is 6-inches.
