Description
Modern Sioux Buffalo Horn Headdress
This is an impressive modern Sioux Buffalo horn headdress. It features a dark blue wool cap, of which a split Buffalo horn is affixed on either side. The headband features a striking red wool with white fur possibly irman strips hanging. There is a beaded band across the forehead featuring white, blue red yellow green and black above it are a series of bells affixed to it and the headband is surmounted with yellow feathers. The headdress is topped with a Buffalo hide Cape that hangs down the back. On either side of this Buffalo are US army buttons with Tufts of feather emerging from them. Atop the Buffalo fur our series of 7 feathers from a bird of prey emerging from the back there are leather ties hanging so the wearer can secure it to their head.
