A collection of Soviet Cold War headgear and edged weapons. 1) Type 1 bayonet for AKM likely Romanian manufacture. Both knife and scabbard are matching and marked SC 2001. Wear is typical of surplus material. Dimensions: 13”x2.5”x1.5”. 2) A 6×2 bayonet for early AK-47. Soviet Russian/Bulgarian Cold War manufacture. Mark on tang, obscured. Electro pencil “3608” near base. Scabbard has surface rust on parts of metal. In good overall condition. Dimensions: Blade 7.75” long. Overall12.75” x 2” x 1.5” in scabbard. 3) Soviet army “pilotka” field cap. Khaki fabric with enamel Soviet Red Star emblem on the front. Maker’s Mark on interior lining with additional Cyrillic writing likely name of wearer. Dimensions: 11”x5”. 4) Soviet TSH-4M tanker helmet. Made of gray padded fabric, with ridges along the top for impact protection. Soft lining. Padded ear coverings, housing communication equipment. This particular example is dated 1985. In good, surplus condition. Dimensions 8”x12”x9”. 5) Papakha hat, size 58. Grey wool, satin lining, During WWII these were exclusively worn by officers of the Soviet armed forces. This hat style is also closely associated with imperial Russian uniforms and people of the Caucuses. This particular example is likely post-Cold War manufacture. Used, but in very good condition.
