Description
This machine with its oak cabinet and cover have their original finish as well as a large red and gold banner decal on the top cover, Both cabinet, cover and decal are in good as found condition with some minor rippling of the veneer on the top cover. The 4 suitcase latches are present and in good working order A small horn support bracket is attached to the rear of the cabinet. Has an original Edison automatic reproducer with a good stylus. The weight of the reproducer has been modified by the addition of a lead weight.. This unusual modification was most likely to achieve greater volume. The carriage and mandrill move freely however the mandrill is heavily tarnished with peeling plating. The upper mech and bed plate have their black paint and pinstripes in average condition with the usual wear. Has a reproduction all brass slotted winding crank. Also included is an original15″ L all brass horn with a 7″ Diameter bell. The horn has been brightly polished and has several dents and wrinkles as well as a sloppy solder repair where the bell is joined to the body. Cabinet measures 16-1/2″ X 8″ X 12″ T.
