Description
A Winter scene depicting a Union soldier standing guard behind a snow covered artillery cannon. The wind whips from behind him, blowing his coat around him as he dutifully stands guard. Using a blue palette, this original acrylic on canvas is mounted in a robust wooden frame. Signed by artist “Joyce Burlch” lower right corner, and back of frame on tape: “Joyce Petrovick Route 5 Trenton, MO 64683 359-6855″. Painetd circa 1980 [as noted by consigner] It measures 27-1/2″ x 21-3/4″ x 1-1/2”.
