EXTREMELY RARE! CIVIL WAR Sharps.52 PELLET PRIMER Double Trigger Rifle in excellent condition with some wear. 40-50% of finish, The bore is sharp and shiny, and the action seems fully functional. A Sharps/Lawrence pellet primer is a device that holds a stack of pellet primers and flips one over the nipple each time the trigger is pulled. This made it easier to fire a Sharps rifle from horseback than a gun that used individually loaded percussion caps. The 1859 Sharps carbine was used by both the North and South in the American Civil War. It was also used in the American West after the war. C&R Eligible S/N:41621
