Original CDV of Confederate General F.H. Lee. “Jan 1862 Fitzhugh” written in pencil on back. A fine image in great condition. Measures: 2-1/2” x 4”. Fitzhugh “Fitz” Lee was a Confederate cavalry general in the American Civil War, the 40th Governor of Virginia, diplomat, a United States Army general in the Spanish-American War. He was the son of Sydney Smith Lee, a captain in the Confederate States Navy, and the nephew of Robert E. Lee. This CDV was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
