Description
M1860 Union naval boarding sword-Cutlass – The 26″ blade has an even patina of rust and many nicks. Blade is marked USN DR 1862 on the Ricasso, along with n anchor and P G.G. at a 90 degree angle to previous marks listed. Wood handle with significant leather loss, wire missing. Brass sheet cup is banged and cut in a few spots, shows its age and use with healthy patina. No scabbard. Overall length: 32”. This sword was part of the Civil War and Indian Wars display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
