Description
This bayonet is 21″ overall with 3″ socket. The bayonet with its off center “U.S.” variation appears in figure B92B, Page 82 of Reilly’s socket bayonet book. The leather scabbard is the unusual Regulation pattern 1861 Type III with extra rivet as appears in figure S54, Page 159 of Reilly’s book. Bayonet sticks out 2″ when in scabbard from leather shrinkage.
