Description

This impressive collection of 22 authentic lithic artifacts showcases a diverse range of prehistoric craftsmanship and material usage. The assemblage includes various styles such as triangular, lanceolate, and side-notched points, likely spanning from the Archaic to the Woodland periods. The materials are equally varied, featuring high-quality flint, chert, jasper, and translucent quartz or chalcedony, with several pieces displaying a beautiful natural patina and mineral “crust” or calcification. Notable pieces include a finely knapped dark chert lanceolate and a delicate, translucent micro-point. Most items show expected prehistoric wear, with some displaying minor ancient tip or base damage and edge nibbling, but overall they remain in excellent collectible condition. Display case is not included in this sale. Individual points range from approximately 0.5″ to 3.5″ in length. H 8″, W 12″, D 1″. Please see photos.
