Description
This impressive collection features 73 hand-knapped stone points and tools, showcasing a diverse array of lithic materials including chert, flint, jasper, and chalcedony. The assemblage includes a variety of diagnostic shapes such as side-notched, corner-notched, and triangular points, along with several larger ovate bifaces and scrapers. The colors range from earthy tans and greys to deep oxblood reds and translucent creams, representing various regional stone sources. While the specific archaeological provenience is not marked, the craftsmanship reflects traditional North American lithic reduction techniques spanning various cultural periods. The items appear to be in good stable condition with expected minor field wear and ancient terminal fractures consistent with genuine surface finds; some edges remain remarkably sharp.
