Description
Bronze tomahawk pipe circa 1890s. Hafted onto a wooden handle decorated with domed metal tacks and inlaid with a series of metal studs in the handle just below the head. The handle itself has a striped look to it due to contrasting colors of the pressed file design. The base of the handle has a brass chip protruding from it. Original leather gasket still present where axe head is hafted to handle. Condition good. Dimensions: 16” long. Axe head length 8.25”, blade height 2.5”. See photos.
