October Fall Classic
Lot 1088b:
Description
This is a great, authentic piece of Americana—a vintage “PRICE” sign likely salvaged from a roadside gas station or small market. These types of signs were the quintessential roadside advertising of the mid-20th century. The sign is constructed of painted metal with neon glass tubing and an electrical transformer. The piece shows significant and heavy wear, including scratches, fading, paint loss, and surface rust, giving it a fantastic aged look. The neon tubes are intact and working. The sign itself measures approx 59 inches wide by 20 inches tall. The crated piece is roughly 68 inches wide by 22 inches tall by 12 inches deep. See photos.
