Description
Complete set of original World War II US Army K-Rations, produced by “Patten Food Products, representing the full daily caloric allotment for a soldier in the field. The group includes all three distinct units: the Breakfast ration (brown print), the Dinner ration (blue print), and the Supper ration (green print). These cartons feature the standard mid-war graphic typography and security instructions regarding the disposal of wrappers to avoid detection. The reverse of each box provides the contents, ranging from “Meat and Eggs” and “Biscuits” to “Cigarettes” and “Chewing Gum.” Finding a matched trio with such clear printing is a significant find for the militaria enthusiast. Each box shows age-appropriate wear to include edge rubbing, corners damage, and surface discoloration. The boxes have not been opened and the condition of the contents are unknown.
