This is a fantastic lot for the aviation historian, featuring four original pen-and-ink-style limited edition prints, all signed by the esteemed Colonel Walter R. Beckham, WWII P-47 Triple Ace (18 confirmed victories). The set includes four iconic WWII fighter planes: a German Messerschmitt Bf 109 , and three variants of the American Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, the very aircraft Beckham flew into combat. Each piece is personally signed by Beckham and marked as a limited edition, indicating they were part of a numbered run. The aesthetic is highly detailed, emphasizing the mechanical complexity of these fighters.
