Description
M42 Jump Jacket that belonged to soldier “C. Minter” as written on inside left chest pocket flap. Laundry tag stamped on back inside of collar is “M 7947”. Jacket has some red/brown stains on random areas (sleeves, upper shoulder, neck etc.) and does not exhibit any tears, holes or damage. Four front pockets, zip closure, separate waist belt. Quartermasters tag is present in the right waist pocket. It is very faded from laundering, but intact. Brass washed white metal zipper marked TALON “Made in USA Talon” on back of zipper. Left shoulder patch 101st Airborne Division with Airborne tab above. No other insignia or markings on this jacket. No glow on any elements of jacket under UV light. Unclear what size the jacket is. It measures 21in wide x 32 in tall. A great research project for its next caretaker. Please see photos.
