Description
This sword is marked on ricasso with German proofs with no formal maker’s mark. The blade has double etched blade with full US, e pluribus unum floral design. Blade is 30.5″ and overall is 37″. The blade is very bright and the etching is crisp. The tip is good and blade is very bright with no chips or nicks to blade. The brass handle and crossguard shows age and wear.. The ray-skin and wire wrapped grip is tight and has some wear and no loss to ray-skin. The scabbard has no dents and leather is very good and does have a preservative applied which makes it lightly sticky. Overall, this sword is in very good plus condition and could be the only one you would want it you were looking for just one good Civil War sword.
