Description
Springfield 1878 45-70 Rifle in very good condition with some wear and oxidation. The metal is a rich dark patina. Comes with the bayonet. The butt plate has some pitting. The trapdoor locks up tight. The action seems fully functional and the bore is sharp and bright. Barrel is marked “VP” over eagle head & “P” and “A”. Lock has correct markings on a freckled back plate. “U” on barrel bands, “US” on buttplate. Ramrod and front sling swivels intact. C&R Eligible S/N:299969
