Description
This Native American peace pipe features a hand-carved wooden stem with a twisted spiral motif paired with a T-shaped black pipestone bowl, likely crafted from steatite or darkened catlinite. Dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, this ceremonial-style calumet showcases a tapered tenon on the stem for secure assembly. The piece displays historic age and wear, including surface scuffs and wood grain weathering, and features a complete, stabilized repaired break across the frontal extension of the pipe bowl.
