Description

This classic Plains-style war club features a bi-pointed stone head expertly secured to a wooden handle with a hide wrap. The handle is adorned with intricate “lazy stitch” seed beadwork in a patriotic white, blue, and red palette typical of the late 19th to early 20th-century reservation period. A notable feature is the hide-wrapped drop at the base, which terminates in a long, natural horsehair tassel. The item is in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor bead loss and expected darkening of the stone and hide from age. The horsehair shows some thinning and natural discoloration. H 21″, W 6.5″, D 2.5″. Please see photos for condition.
