Description

This historical assembly features cabinet cards and tintypes purportedly from the renowned Camillus Fly Studio in Tombstone, Arizona Territory. The collection includes identified portraits of individuals noted as Deputy Sheriff Ben Williams and Deputy Ben Stryker, alongside a group photo of Railroad Express Agents. While the items bear the distinctive backstamps and period-accurate handwriting associated with the C.S. Fly gallery—the same studio that captured the iconic images of the Geronimo campaign and the O.K. Corral aftermath—potential bidders are encouraged to evaluate the provenance and identification of the subjects for themselves. The physical condition reflects their frontier history, with visible oxidation and surface scratches on the tintypes, as well as corner wear, foxing, and light staining on the card stocks.
