Description

This ethnographic lot features a “skull cracker” war club and a traditional straight-back knife with an integrated belt sheath. The war club consists of a stone head with a hand-stitched hide wrapping secured to a wooden handle, finished with a 22-inch horsehair drop tied with a red textile wrap. The knife features a 9-inch carbon steel blade with visible fullers and a simple wooden grip. The accompanying leather sheath is built into a matching leather waist belt, also featuring hand-stitched construction and period-appropriate wear. Both items exhibit an aged patina; the leather is stiffened with surface cracking, the blade shows oxidation and pitting, and the horsehair is weathered with minor shedding. War Club L 15″, Hair L 22″, Knife L 14.25″, Blade L 9″, Belt L 32″, Sheath H 11″, W 2″. Please see photos for condition.
