Description

This collection features six prehistoric and historic Native American artifacts curated from various Midwestern sites. The assembly includes a miniature stone war club (F-179) and a secondary lithic tool (A-190) from No Heart Creek. The centerpiece is a smooth, reddish-brown child’s tomahawk head (M-5) from McCook County. Also showcased are two tapered bone awls (H-12, H-131) sourced from Dry Run Creek and No Heart Creek, and a classic corner-notched arrowhead (A-191). The artifacts are displayed in a partitioned wooden shadowbox with a burlap interior and a detailed handwritten provenance key on the reverse. The items exhibit authentic mineral patina, varying degrees of stone weathering, and original collector ink markings; the wooden frame is in good vintage condition with light scuffs and minor dust accumulation.
