A commercial reproduction of the U.S. military Paratrooper M1 Carbine produced by Plainfield Machine out of Dunellen, New Jersey. Manufactured from 1962 to 1978, Plainfield Machine M1 Carbines were known as a high-quality reproduction, with many parts interchangeable with the US Military Carbines. It features an adjustable rear sight and reproduction folding stock. The all-matching wood stock is in excellent condition. Metal parts retain 90% of their original finish, with some wear/fade on the barrel and receiver. Bore is shiny and rifling is good. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. This is a perfect M1 Carbine for a reenactor looking to start a new impression or a firearm enthusiast wanting to add to their collection. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: 50456
